Epic Militaria is proud to announce our very own WW2 US Airborne M1942 Jump Suit Jacket. These jackets were first issued to paratroopers taking part in Operation Torch, which meant these uniforms had to be practical and meet the needs of troopers who had to jump into enemy territory under combat conditions. Jackets are suitable to be worn with a shirt and sweater underneath however, we would recommend sizing up for a looser fit.
Our jackets benefit from an abundance of original features, making them one of the most accurate jackets on the market. These include the reinforced elbows, strengthened pocket seams, knife pocket, adjustable belt, zip up front and 4 angled pockets. This uniform was eventually replaced with the M43 after D-Day; however, many veterans chose to keep their M1942 uniforms as a status symbol to distinguish them from other soldiers!
