Our wonderfully detailed US Issue Type Garrison Cap has light blue piping that signifies the Infantry division. The cap has strong and durable stitching so it is made for rough and delicate situations. Inside, there is a leatherette sweatband that fits nicely around your head and makes the experience much more comfortable. Your cap feels excellent, and well-made in your hand – the cotton feels soft to the touch but not at all flimsy.
In March 1943, garrison caps were approved as optional wear in lieu of the peaked service cap. Prior to this, they were authorised for summer and winter working uniforms for naval aviation pilots.
These wonderful reproductions are a must-have for any US Infantry member.
