White Star Line - Titanic
Founded in 1845 in Liverpool, England, the White Star Line was a British Shipping firm, providing vessels to transport cargo and passengers between the British Empire and the United States.
One of their most famous ocean liners, Titanic, was the largest ship afloat at the time of her launch. On April 15th 1912, on her maiden voyage to New York, Titanic hit an iceberg and sank, with the loss of around 1500 passengers, becoming one of the worst maritime disasters of all time.
