WW2 German U-Boat Badge Box
A smart presentation box for U-boat War Badge, complete with gold "U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen" inscription on the lid.
These were awarded after the completion of two periods of war patrol or after one patrol if it has been particularly successful. These would have been manufactured by Leistungsgemeinschaft der deutschen Ordenhersteller (LDO), the organisation responsible for the order distribution, the raw material allocation as well as the quality of medals and the companies that manufactured them in Nazi Germany.
Complete with gold text on the lid, smart navy blue textured exterior, tidy closure button, blue satin and velvet interior.
The box measures approximately 8.4 x 7.7 x 2.8 cm.
