The original Kriegsmarine U Boat badge with Diamonds, introduced in 1941, was awarded to U-Boat commanders demonstrating the highest performance. Only around 30 were ever awarded, making it one of the rarest and most sought after decorations of WW2.
These precise and high quality reproductions of the original award feature a U-Boat beneath the Eagle and imitation diamond decorated Swastika, surrounded by a wreath. They have the correct vertical pin on the reverse as well as the 'Schwerin - Berlin 68' maker's mark. The badge was worn on the left breast of the sailor's tunic.
