Great quality reproduction of the 12th Flotilla U-Boat Badge.
The 12th was a combat flotilla made up of long-range U-Boats, and was based in Bordeaux from its introduction to the war in 1942 until it was disbanded in 1944. They were mostly operational in the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and had 46 boats under its command during its service.
The emblem features a Wolf and U-Boat atop the globe, with a large black 'U' curving around the lower edge of the shield. The reverse of the badge has a pin for fitting.
