WW2 German Mothers Cross Deluxe Medal Box

A smart presentation box for Cross of Honour of the German Mother (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter) medals of all classes.

The bronze issue of the Mother's Cross was awarded to German mothers with 4 or more children, as a 'Fuhrergeschenk' - a gift from the Fuhrer. They were awarded annually, on the 12th August, to commemorate the birthday of Adolf Hitler's mother, Klara. These would have been manufactured by Leistungsgemeinschaft der deutschen Ordenhersteller (LDO), the organisation responsible for the order distribution, the raw material allocation as well as the quality of medals and the companies that manufactured them in Nazi Germany.

Complete with a gold image of the Mutterkreuz on the lid, smart dark blue textured exterior, tidy closure button, white satin and cream velvet interior with a slot for the medal.

The box measures approximately 10.8 x 4.8 x 2.8 cm.
