1st Issue Mothers Cross - Silver
Out of stock
The silver issue of the Mother's Cross was awarded to German mothers with 6 or more children, as a 'Fuhrergeschenk' - a gift from the Fuhrer.
These first issue style reproductions feature the text "Das Kind adelt die Mutter', which translates to 'The child ennobles the mother,' above an engraving of Adolf Hitler's signature. They were awarded annually, on the 12th August, to commemorate the birthday of Adolf Hitler's mother, Klara.
This design was used in the early months of 1939, before being replaced by the dated version. These fine reproductions also come with 12 inches of the correct ribbon.
