Dated Issue Mothers Cross - Silver
The silver issue of the Mother's Cross was awarded to German mothers with 6 or more children, as a 'Fuhrergeschenk' - a gift from the Fuhrer.
These reproductions feature the date '16. Dezember,. 1938', the date of the medal's introduction, on the reverse above an engraving of Adolf Hitler's signature. They were awarded annually, on the 12th August, to commemorate the birthday of Adolf Hitler's mother, Klara.
This design was used throughout the majority of WW2, having replaced the original design in mid-1939. These fine reproductions also come with 12 inches of the correct ribbon.
