WW2 British Glider Pilot Regiment Wings
In preparation for Arnhem, and as a result of casualties or missing trained glider pilots, the British Army quickly trained ex-RAF pilots to bulk numbers up. This model of insignia was worn by those trained pilots and has a slightly more minimal design than the badges awarded to fully trained glider pilots.
This reproduction WW2 British Glider Pilot Regiment Wings badge features an embroidered lion on top of a crown, with blue wings, on a dark background. Each badge measures approximately 45mm x 120mm.
