British WW2 Denison Smock - 2nd Pattern.
Introduced in 1944, the 2nd pattern Denison Smock superseded the original, Major Denison designed, 1st Pattern Smock.Â
Button-down cuffs replaced the elasticated version and two poppers were introduced on the back to allow the wearer to pin up his "beaver tail".
Developed with experts, this heavyweight cotton Denison is a must for British reenactors but really does not look out of place on the high street, it really is an eye-catching item of clothing.
Each smock is true to the originals and features:
- Newey stud fasteners
- Over-head design 1/2 length brass zip
- 1944 style label
- Button cuffs
- Adjustable waist stud fasteners
- Rear stud fasteners for pinning up your tail.
- chest and hip pockets and
- correct underarm vents

Please note:
The sizing above takes into consideration battle dress being worn underneath.
If for example, you are normally a 40" chest, for re-enactment purposes, we would recommend taking a Size 3 (42-44").
If you wish to wear the smock casually, we would recommend ordering your usual chest size.
