Description
The 6th Armoured Division, also known as 'The Iron Fist', was a distinguished formation of the British Army during WW2. It played a pivotal role in the North African Campaign, notably during the Second Battle of El Alamein in 1942, where it helped secure a crucial victory against Axis forces. The division later fought in the Italian campaign, taking part in key engagements such as the battles of Monte Cassino and the advance through Italy. By the end of the war, the 6th Armoured Division had gained a reputation for its effectiveness in armoured warfare.
Our reproduction formation patches have been made with this illustrious history in mind. Made from black wool, with a silver embroidered fist, these patches feature a period-accurate raw edge and measure just 6cm x 6cm, making them the perfect item to bring a little life to your portrayal.
