Quality reproduction Brown Pioneers Shovel Carrier.
Cover for the large Pioneer's shovel. Pioneers carried specialised tools for their work. Shovels, saws, hatchets, pickaxes and bolt cutters were regularly carried into battle by pioneers.
Pioneers are soldiers employed in construction and engineering. They would construct fortifications, military camps, bridges and roads. German pioneers were also tasked with the destruction of enemy fortifications.
Made from a quality brown leather with metal fixings and clip for attaching to a belt.
The cover measures approximately 24 x 24.5 cm.
