These metal dog tags are based off of the original WW2 German Army Dog Tag, they are unstamped and completely brand new. These tags feature two sides that is intended to be broken off when the soldier dies in battle, so they can be identified and returned home.

Could you snap it in the middle like what they did back then and connect it back?

- These tags were designed to be broken into two pieces when the soldier wearing it was killed. One half would be collected if at all possible, and handed to the authorities for official notification. The other half would remain with the body itself. These reproductions could be broken in half (it would need some force or metal clippers to do so), but they wouldn't then reconnect.
