German Wehrpass - Pre-War
A quality reproduction Wehrpass from the pre-war period.
A Wehrpass was a documentation book issued to every conscript during their registration for the military draft. When a citizen formally became a soldier during his induction into the military, his Wehrpass was turned in to his unit and he would instead be issued with a Soldbuch.
During military service the Wehrpass would be used to document facts by the unit’s administration, such as battles, promotions, injuries and awards. It would be returned to the soldier upon completion of his military service as an official record of his war service. In the event of a service related death the Wehrpass would be returned to the next of kin.
This Wehrpass is pre-war reproduction, identifiable by the Heer eagle and swastika on the front. Below this is a blank box where the owners’ branch of service would be stamped. Inside the cardboard covers are 52 accurate pages that are ready to be filled out. Tape lines the spine of the book to protect it. Each cover includes a document sleeve.
A quality pre-war reproduction Wehrpass with accurate, blank pages, perfect for re-enacting.
