The Sam Browne belt was first designed in the 1850s by General Sir Samuel Browne of the British Indian Army. Having lost his left arm, he needed a way to steady his sword scabbard while drawing his blade. By the Second Boer War and throughout both World Wars, this leather rig became standard issue for British military officers and is still used to this day.

Our replica uses high-grade dark brown leather with a thickness of approximately 3mm, providing excellent structural support on uniforms. The main belt measures 2.3 inches wide (about 6cm) and features the traditional dual-line decorative stitching along the edges, finished with solid, heavy brass fittings.
