Description
Our Sam Browne Leather Belt is a fantastic reproduction of the iconic belt that became synonymous with British military officers throughout the 20th century. Initially created in British-ruled India during the 1870s, the Sam Browne came to be more widely adopted with the onset of the Second Boer War. During the First and Second World Wars, it came to be a standard part of the British officer’s kit. It is easy to see why.
With a central belt and accompanying cross strap made from sturdy dark brown leather, this belt is designed to withstand the rigors of military use. Alongside this, the belt also features brass fittings for an extra degree of historical accuracy, consisting of a ring of brass loops and the customary sword hook positioned on the left-hand side.
A fantastic item. This Sam Browne Leather Belt is perfect for those wanting to craft a period-accurate British officer portrayal, or a collector looking to expand their collection.
