A pair of reproduction WW2 shoulder titles for the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.
The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion was an airborne infantry battalion of the Canadian Army formed in July 1942 during WW2, that served in engagements including Operation Tonga, Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Varsity. The battalion had a total strength of 26 officers and 590 other ranks, and gained a reputation for never failing to complete a mission. Following the end of the war in the Pacific in August, the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion was disbanded on September 30th, 1945.
The text is embroidered in beige thread on a maroon cloth mounted on a black backing and each badge measures approximately 13 x 5 cm at the widest points.
