WW2 German Numbered General Assault Badge - 50
Late into the war, four new classes were introduced to the General Assault Badge award, which recognized combatants who had been part of numerous combat engagements. They used the same criteria to determine these engagements, with length of service in Russia also added into the equation.
These badges feature the familiar design of the General Assault Badge, but with the addition of the number 50 below the blackened eagle encircled by the silver wreath. They also feature the correct vertical pin on the reverse alongside the JFS maker's mark.
