Description
Methamphetamine, sold under the name Pervitin, was used by the Wehrmacht during World War II to help soldiers stay awake and increase performance. The drug, taken in tablet form, was issued to soldiers to combat fatigue during long operations. However, by 1940, the harmful side effects of Pervitin led to a reduction in its use, and by 1941, it became available only by prescription.
