Description
Formed in 1941, the British Guards Armoured Division quickly proved its mettle, first seeing action during the invasion of Normandy in June 1944. Famously, members of the Division became the first Allied unit to destroy a German Tiger II tank. After the war, the Division reverted to an infantry unit, but its legacy as an armoured fighting force remains.
These reproduction patches are crafted with precision to capture the essence of the historic original. Made from wool, and featuring an embroidered eye against a blue background flanked by a red shield, these patches are finished with a raw edge for authenticity. Measuring just 6cm x 5cm, these formation patches are well-suited to be paired with a uniform for a truly authentic WW2 impression.
