The XXIV Corps (24th Corps) was activated in 1944 during the height of World War Two, playing a vital role in battles across the Pacific Theatre, including in the Philippines Campaign and the Battle of Okinawa. After deactivation in 1949, it was briefly reactivated from 1968 to 1972 during the Vietnam War, where it once again took on a key command role.

The XXIV Corps (24th Corps) was formed in 1944 and became a vital part of American operations in the Pacific during WW2, taking part in major campaigns such as the liberation of the Philippines and the Battle of Okinawa. After being disbanded in 1949, the Corps was reactivated in 1968 for service during the Vietnam War, where it played a key role in overseeing military operations in the northern provinces until 1972.
This patch features a shield-shaped design with a deep blue background and a distinctive white heart outlined in blue at its centre. Beautifully embroidered in cotton thread and backed with khaki twill, this original patch measures approximately 6cm by 7cm and proudly represents the history of the XXIV Corps and its significant contributions across two major conflicts.
