The 9th Infantry Division was activated in 1918 during WW1. The division saw action during WW2 and Vietnam, before being inactivated in 1991.
The insignia for the 9th Infantry Division - nicknamed Old Reliables - is a half blue, half red octofoil with a white circle in the middle, on a green background.
