Description
This original insignia of the Eighth Army is both striking and symbolic. Featuring a bold white cross pattee set against a vivid red field, all set within a unique octagonal border, the design reflects strength, unity and the commanding authority of one of the Army’s most enduring field formations. The red and white colour scheme is traditionally associated with U.S. Army field commands, while the eight-sided shape subtly reinforces the unit’s numerical designation.
Measuring approximately 6cm by 6cm, the patch is embroidered to mid-20th century standards, with durable stitching and subdued khaki threading on the reverse.
A genuine piece of American military history. Ideal for collectors, reenactors, or anyone with a personal connection to the legacy of the Eighth Army.
