Metal Luftwaffe Pilot Observer Badge with Diamonds
Reproduction WW2 German Luftwaffe Pilot/Observer Qualification Badge with Diamonds.
The award was introduced by Goring in 1935, who in turn awarded the decoration to recipients including the Luftwaffe's top pilots and military leaders to key foreign allies. Known recipients included Erwin Rommel, Sepp Dietrich, Benito Mussolini, Francisco Franco, and even Hermann Goring himself.
The badges feature the silver Luftwaffe Eagle, encrusted with imitation diamonds, at the centre of a golden laurel and oakleaf wreath. The reverse of the eagle has a shiny silvered finish, and is complete with a pin for fixing to the tunic.
These are well finished, high quality reproductions, as worn by Pilot/Observers in WW2 Germany's Luftwaffe.
