1990-1991 GULF Medal with Jan-Feb Clasp
This is an exquisite replica of the 1990-1991 Gulf Medal and is ideal for the collector or as a replacement.
The medal was awarded to members of the Armed Forces who served 30 continuous days in Areas of Operations during the Gulf War, which took place within the dates of 2nd August, 1990, and 7th March, 1991. The clasp was awarded to those who served 7 days of continuous service in Theatres of Operation between the dates of 16th January to 28th February, 1991.
The front of the medal features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with the reverse showing the Combined Operations emblem. This consists of the Eagle (Air Force), sub-machine gun (Army) and the anchor (Navy). Above the emblem are the words 'The Gulf Medal', and below the dates '1990-91'. It is suspended from the ribbon which has the large central yellow stripe, bordered by the colours of the three armed forces. It also features the clasp with the words '16 Jan to 28 Feb 1991'.
These are stunning new productions and the only difference form the originals is that these have a discreet 'copy' written on the reverse side of the medal, this can clearly be seen in the pictures.
These medals are made in Great Britain by one of the finest and oldest medal and military accoutrement manufacturers (UK Medal Office Approved) in the country so you know that in terms of quality these cannot be beaten.
To clarify, these medals are MoD approved reproductions of the genuine issue medals and can be issued without reservation or application. The original genuine medals can only be issued through application to the MoD/UK government.
