Description

This is an excellent reproduction of the World War Two medal which was instituted in 1941 as an award higher than the Iron Cross 1st class but below the Knights Cross.

The WWII Order of the German Cross - Gold Class was awarded for repeated (6-8) acts of bravery or repeated outstanding achievements in combat.

This award was to be worn in the centre of the right hand tunic pocket. If a recipient was to be awarded both Gold and Silver versions of this medal then only the Gold would be worn.
