Issued to US paratroopers during the war, these reproductions are ideal for someone looking to add to their portrayal. The gloves come in yellow as per the originals and are based on the 1942 variant of the gloves. Fortunately for your hands, the interior of these gloves is soft – while the exterior is tough and durable, ready for the actions of war. These gloves will protect your hands from heated gun barrels, small general injuries and the elements during re-enactments.

Two divisions of US paratroopers fought in the Second World War – the 82nd Airborne Division and the 101st Airborne Division. Both divisions were formed during WW1 however, the 101st did not participate. US Paratroopers committed to their first jump in July 1942, where they were doomed to heavy losses mainly due to the drops happening too far from the drop zone. It was therefore decided to create the role of Pathfinders, who parachuted in advance to secure areas and mark drop zones.
The two divisions fought bravely during the Second World War when they saw action in North Africa, Italy and France where they were dropped behind enemy lines on D-Day.
