WW2 US Collar Discs - Judge Advocate General
Pair of US collar discs from the Judge Advocate General branch of the US military, featuring a wreathed cross through with a sabre and quill.
These original discs are made with gold-coloured 'Meyer Metal' and come with the maker's 22M mark, dating them from the mid-1960s. They measure approx. 1 inch in diameter, and are sold with the original card backing of N. S. Meyer.
During the war, they were made in a single piece to conserve materials, but these post-war badges are constructed in a two-piece fashion and come with two clutch pins on the reverse for fastening to the lapels. The insignia itself is detachable from the disc and would have been worn separately by officers.
Ideal for US reenactment, or for collectors!
