WW2 US Collar Discs - Air Defence
Pair of US collar discs from the Air Defence Artillery branch of the US military, featuring a pair of crossed cannons with an arrow striking through the middle.
Original discs made with gold-coloured metal and come with the maker's V-21 mark, dating them from the 1960s-70s. They measure approx. 1 inch in diameter, and are sold with the original card backing of Vanguard.
During the war, they were made in a single piece to conserve materials, but these post-war badges are constructed in a two-piece fashion and come with two clutch pins on the reverse for fastening to the lapels. The insignia itself is detachable from the disc and would have been worn separately by officers.
Ideal for reenactment, or for collectors!
