Introduced in mid-1944 for the US Army Air Forces, the B-13 officer's flight jacket was developed as a refined successor to the ETO jacket. Though originally issued as specialised flying clothing, its smart silhouette quickly made it a popular off-duty choice. It was declared a limited standard in early 1945, making originals rare.

This reproduction is made from heavy-weight, dark olive drab OD 51 shade 80% wool cloth. This specific double-weave fabric features a prominent diagonal ribbed pattern similar to fine whipcord. Inside, a smooth rayon lining runs through the body and sleeves for comfortable layering over service shirts.

Classic scalloped pocket flaps cover two spacious chest pockets, replicating the original design's pocket layout. The jacket has a sleek fly-front closure that conceals the buttons, protecting against drafts. The waist is detailed with integrated hip tabs and two buttons/b>, while the cuffs also have have adjustable tabs.
