WW2 Russian M43 Gimnasterka Tunic
The M43 Gimnasterka Tunic was introduced as a uniform for the later years of the Great Patriotic War. By the order of Josef Stalin, the Red Army intended to invoke significant Russian Military Spirit by creating a uniform reminiscent of the Czarist Gimnasterka Tunics of WW1.
These fantastic reproductions are made by Schuster, one of the finest manufacturers of Russian Uniforms and Militaria anywhere. The tunics are made from a tightly woven khaki cotton, and are available in a range of sizes by chest size and length. They have a line of 3 green buttons leading up to a pair of buttons on the collar. Each shoulder has a gold button for shoulder boards, finished with the hammer and sickle upon a star.
