Reproduction WW2 Russian Army M41 Great Coat
Made by Schuster, one of the finest manufacturers of Russian Uniforms and Militaria anywhere.
Each great coat features
- A light grey wool with a large smart collar.
- A pair of slash pockets at the waist as well as an internal pocket.
- Traditional hook fastening at the front as opposed to buttons.
- A back belt with smart golden-coloured buttons with a hammer and sickle design
All ranks of the soviet army were issued with heavy wool greatcoats (or ‘шинель’ pronounced ‘shinel’).
They were very long and were meant to be cut to length according to the height of the wearer. When not being worn the greatcoats were rolled according to specific regulations and draped over the shoulder like a sash, with a leather strap used to secure the ends.
These are smart, well made reproductions, an excellent addition for any Russian re-enactor.

Would it be possible to order the coat, but without the soviet/russian insignia such as the buttons on it? Perhaps replace them with regular buttons if necessary?
