WW2 Luftwaffe Signals Badge
WW2 German Luftwaffe Signals Badge made from silver bullion wire on a dark blue backing.
During WW2, a number of Luftwaffe specialist qualification badges were introduced. Worn on the left forearm of the Luftwaffe flying blouse, service tunic, parade uniform and greatcoat, the badges were awarded to personnel who were qualified in a specific unique skill. These particular badges were most likely issued to Luftwaffe signals personnel as the crossed lightning bolts normally served to denote signals and communications. These reproductions are made from a dark blue wool backing, with the design made from silver bullion wire.
