WW2 German Luftwaffe Observer Badge made from a silver bullion wire on a luftwaffe blue backing.
The badge was awarded to those who completed 2 months of qualifying training and serving as an observer on 5 flights. The badge was one of the first to be put forward by Goring, and was fully instituted in 1936. These impressive replicas are made from a blue luftwaffe wool backing, with the award design made from a silver bullion wire. The embroidered version was commonly worn in place of the metal awards for combat uniforms.
