WW2 German Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge, also known as 'Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe', made from a silver bullion wire on a luftwaffe blue backing.
The badge was awarded to those who were engaged in three separate combat operations on separate days. The badge was awarded in March, 1942 after being introduced by Goring. These impressive replicas are made from a blue luftwaffe wool, with the award design made from a silver bullion wire. The embroidered version was commonly worn in place of the metal awards for combat uniforms.
