This cap badge represents the emblem of the U-404, a Type VIIC U-boat that served during the Atlantic campaign. The U-404 sank 14 Allied ships during its patrols before being lost in the Bay of Biscay. This badge is a hand-made replica from solid brass, reflecting the individually created cap badges made by the U-Boat crews themselves.
Measuring approximately 49mm in height and 45mm in width, the badge features the dragonship figurehead design of the U-404. It includes small holes drilled in them, designed for secure attachment to headwear. Each badge has slight variations due to its handmade nature, giving it individual appeal.
