This WW2 German U-Boat cap badge depicts the devil on a torpedo emblem.

The original emblem was used by the crew of the Type VIIC submarine U-313, commissioned in 1943 under Kapitänleutnant Friedrich Schweiger. The design was a running joke about their torpedo problems. The crew joked that a mischievous devil was holding the torpedoes back in the launching tubes during their sea trials.
This reproduction is made in Germany using high-grade aluminium metal. It has a raw, slightly textured finish to resemble a crude, crew-made original. The badge measures 45mm in length and is 1mm thick. It is cut in the distinct silhouette of the devil riding a torpedo, capturing the historical details.
To attach the badge, simply sew it onto your Kriegsmarine side cap (Schiffchen) or officer visor cap using the two sewing holes on each end. The flat back allows it to sit flush against the wool fabric without pulling. It is an excellent detail for historical reenactors and collectors building a U-boat impression.
