Developed following the severe winter on the Eastern Front in 1941, the German army introduced the reversible Winteranzug. By late 1943, the standard field-grey side was updated to the iconic Splittermuster 31 splinter camouflage, providing Wehrmacht troops with effective concealment across varied European terrains.

Sturdy cotton outer shells on both sides encase a warm, insulating fleece layer. The camouflage face fastens with grey pebbled buttons, while the white snow side uses flat white dish buttons. Stitched elbow reinforcement patches provide protection during prone field manoeuvres.

The jacket is cut specifically to fit over standard wool field blouses, allowing easy layering. An adjustable waist drawbelt and hood cords help trap body heat. Two large cargo pockets with button flaps on both sides ensure your field gear remains secure whether utilising the camo or white snow side.
