WW2 German Salary Packet
Every member of the German Armed forces received a standard monthly salary for their war service or wehrsold; this basic pay was 35RM, increasing with higher ranks. Professional soldiers and higher ranks also received their salaries and allowances on top of their wehrsold.
As well as rank differences, there were increases in wages depending on marital status and the number of children.
Some standard wage packets would have been:-
- Enlisted Man 35RM
- Unteroffizier 158RM (inc. 45 wehrsold)
- Oberleutnant 273RM (inc. 80 wehrsold)
- General-Feld Marschall 3003RM (inc. 300 wehrsold)
For comparison, a skilled, male factory worker would have earned in the region of 192RM per month, while a State Opera Tenor could receive up to 30,000RM per month.Â

Postage when returning an item is at the customer's expense, however, postage for sending out a replacement or an exchange (if selected, UK only), will be covered by Epic Militaria.
