WW2 German Police Officer Overcoat
These are excellent quality reproduction Ordnungspolizei overcoats. The coats are made with green gabardine, and feature a brown wool collar and silver coloured buttons.
The Ordnungspolizei were the uniformed police force in Nazi Germany from 1936 - 1945. Although Ordnungspolizei translates as Order Police, the force was more than this, encompassing all emergency and law-enforcement organisations, including the fire brigade. As the uniforms were green, they were also known as Grüne Polizei - Green Police.
These WW2 German Police Officer Overcoat are strong and durable, and a must for any WW2 German collector. The coats have two vertical lines of 6 silver coloured buttons on the front, as well as a clasp at the collar to secure in place. There are two front pockets and one internal pocket on the left side chest.
