WW2 German Mauser Rubber Cap
In stock
These are reproduction rubber caps for the Mauser as used by the German Army during late World War Two.
These rubber muzzle covers replaced the previously used steel covers. Unlike the metal ones which had to be folded back into open position before the Mauser could be fired, these could simply be shot away, allowing for quicker firing of the rifle. They are also believed to have been introduced to combat the problem of the metal covers freezing shut on the Russian Front during the winter.
A great accessory for the Mauser, ideal for protection during storage or when re-enacting.
