These are fantastic quality WW2 German M44 Field Caps in Panzer black, made in Germany by the iconic Erel company.
The M44 Field Cap was based upon the Bergmutze Ski Caps of Gebirgsjager and became one of the most widely used pieces of headwear of WW2. They had a slightly longer visor than the Bergmutze but did not have the leather sweatband of earlier hats, due to the necessary economisation of manufacture.

- 100% wool material outer - far higher wool content than other repros around
- 100% cotton lining
- Large, single, silver pebbled button on the front - this can be undone allowing the flaps to hang down, becoming a balaclava-style covering to keep warm
