WW2 German Krim (Crimea) campaign badges issued to German military personnel who participated in combat operations during in that region during 1941-1942. This badge was instituted in July 1942 and was the most widely distributed of the German Campaign shields.

Badge Measures 2.3" x 2" across the Eagles Wings attached to Field Grey backing patch.

The award was to be worn on the upper left arm of the recipients uniform - if another such award was gained they could be worn one above the other, separated by a space of 5mm.

 

Please Note: They would have been supplied on a backing of cloth patch indicative of the branch of the recepient (Field Grey for Heer, Blue for Luftwaffe, Black for Panzer). However these badges come without the attached uniform patch. You can find the accompanying uniform patches here
