WW2 German Krim Shield - Bronze

WW2 German Krim (Crimea) campaign badges issued to German military personnel who participated in combat operations during in that region during 1941-1942. This badge was instituted in July 1942 and was the most widely distributed of the German Campaign shields.
Badge Measures 2.3" x 2" across the Eagles Wings attached to Field Grey backing patch. The backing patch would be indicative of the service branch of the recipient (Field Grey for Heer, Blue for Luftwaffe).
This shield is supplied with a field grey backing cloth as standard should you wish either a luftwaffe blue or Panzer black backing instead please e-mail us at the time of purchase to request this.
The award was to be worn on the upper left arm of the recipients uniform - if another such award was gained they could be worn one above the other, separated by a space of 5mm.
