WW2 German Knights Cross LDO Medal Box
A smart presentation box for Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes) awards, complete with silver LDO logo on the lid.
The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was the most coveted medal of all Third Reich Germany's decorations. They were awarded to holders of the iron cross, to recognise outstanding bravery in the German Army. These medals were first awarded in September 1939. These would have been manufactured by Leistungsgemeinschaft der deutschen Ordenhersteller (LDO), the organisation responsible for the order distribution, the raw material allocation as well as the quality of medals and the companies that manufactured them in Nazi Germany.
Complete with silver LDO logo on the lid, smart black textured exterior, tidy closure button, white satin and black velvet interior.
The box measures approximately 14.2 x 8.2 x 2.8 cm.
