WW2 German African Campaign Medal
Description

WW2 German African Campaign Medal

First created in January 1943. Though produced and distributed, it was never officially recognised but presented to all DAK members.

The obverse of the medal features two gladiators, symbolizing Italy and Germany, doing battle with a crocodile, which symbolizes the British hold on the Suez Canal. The reverse shows a swastika and fasces, each on one side of the Italian Felini Arch, depicting Italo-German cooperation. Under the arch is the Royal Knot of the House of Savoy.

This award comes with 6 inches of the correct ribbon.
