WW2 German 1939 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross

This is a quality replica of the 1939 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross. The award was first introduced in 1813, then renewed in 1870 for the Franco-Prussian War, again upon the outbreak of WW1, and finally in 1939 by Adolf Hitler.

This award was only issued once, to Hermann Goering in 1940, after the fall of France.

The Grand Cross is the highest grade of Iron Cross, and also the largest version of this famous award, measuring over 60mm across.

This replica award is die-struck in heavy brass, and having a pleasing silvered finish. They come supplied with 12 inches of the correct black, white and red ribbon.
