This replica of the WW2 French Resistance Medal faithfully reproduces the prestigious decoration established by General Charles de Gaulle on 9 February 1943. The medal was awarded to those who performed remarkable acts of courage and faith in the resistance against the enemy from 18 June 1940 onwards. Approximately 38,288 living persons and 24,463 posthumously received this honor, along with 18 communities, 21 military units, and 15 organizations including convents, high schools, and hospitals.
