If you can't handle the heat ... Take the kitchen with you! These WW2 British Tommy Cooker Stoves (folding cookers) are fantastic reproductions of those issued to British soldiers prior to D-Day along with 24-hour ration packs.
Carefully reproduced from originals, you can confidently use these out in the field. They will easily hold the weight of a mess tin, and more importantly - a brew.
They have a hinge-shaped mechanism rather than using a centre pin (as you may find with other repros). The original cookers did not have a centre pin, so these really are true to the originals.
An essential addition to your Brit kit that will easily fit in your bag without taking up much space.
