Description
These British MKII Brodie Helmets come in the iconic late war green. This helmet comes in a variety of sizes to fit most heads, making for a comfortable fit for extended periods of use. It has a khaki green exterior with a reproduction leather liner and a sprung webbing chin strap.
The Brodie helmet was adopted in September 1915 during the First World War - designed to protect the wearer from shrapnel. It was originally made from Hadfield Steel. Although the helmet did not provide as much protection as the German Stahlhelm - it was far cheaper and quicker to produce. The MKII was introduced in 1938 and it was adopted by US forces as well as many nations during the cold war.
These Brodie Helmets are ideal for a collector or enthusiast looking for a project.
