This poster was designed by the American government for their World War 2 campaigns. The poster encourages people to avoid careless talk about war efforts which may undermine the military campaigns. It has however since been argued that these posters were originally designed to stop citizens from spreading rumours and false information which could have potentially damaged morale. A sinking ship is depicted on the poster in between the text 'Loose Lips Might Sink Ships'.
